Verified Reviewer100% Scam
This company pretends to be working on behalf of Subaru, but my dealership had never heard of them.
Impossible to reach them via phone, so I had to call my bank and cancel their charges. Bank was happy to do so and indicated this was a common problem. Insane that scammers like this are allowed to operate in 2025!
User's recommendation: Say no! This is a scam!

Verified ReviewerCar damaged during tow
I have contacted them several times and contacted the tow company as well, Even though people saw it and police have given testimony in their reports. I will never stop giving them negative reviews I til they step up to their responsibility and fix the damage. I filed with BBB and dept of consumer affairs as well as the Dept of transportation in my state which are going to be sending inspectors randomly to the location.
This caused my car to roll off and smash to the ground, resulting in bent and broken parts, and scratches on the front and rear of the car. Police were on the scene with the driver while another truck was dispatched. There was also an eyewitness, but Agero denied the claim and never spoke to anyone about what happened. This is what courts are for.
Now, I can sue for all repairs and mental anguish, and not just the scratches that I was seeking. Make a mistake and make good.

Screw these *** I have insurance with roadside assistance on a vehicle. I bought another vehicle today and on my way to get insurance put on , I made a stop and got locked out of my truck .. running, and with my dog locked inside.
I called my insurance, they dispatched roadside service to me , letting me know that my vehicle will be covered by my other vehicles roadside service for 14 days ..
Even if I had insurance that day.. there would be no policy number !
So the guy shows up to help and he sees my vehicle is not the one he showed up to unlock..
I got my insurance guy on the phone and he even told the roadside guy this new vehicle is COVERED for this emergency service and to unlock my car!!!
The guy proceeded to tell me he cannot do it and then got in his car and left me stranded !!! Thank god I was in a parking lot and someone let me use their phone to contact my insurance and a locksmith to come save me!! It was pouring down rain, my phone was locked in the vehicle
Screw these jerk faces. I couldnt understand anything this guy was saying and he looked at me like he wanted to slit my throat.
Do not hire these ***

Verified ReviewerThree tow drivers, no sucess
Absolute worst company I've ever worked with. Did not listen to instructions when I told them not to turn the car left.
Car broke further, resulting in a clunking noise when trying to move it. Broke my car further. Had three separate tow truck drivers come out and 'couldn't find' the vehicle. We stood out next to it.
The driver told me he didn't have time to wait, so he left instead of finding it. Another driver gave me a number that went straight to voicemail. The third refused to go down and look through the cars between the two streets because there were 'too many' and he couldn't find my car. The supervisor told me to 'calm down', and when I proceeded to explain how ridiculous the situation was, he told me, 'OK, you can wait then,' and hung up.
Horrible service. If I could give it less than a 0/10, I would.
- Carelessness
- Improper training
- Dont know how to handle cars

RECEIPT
I needed a receipt for a tow in order to get reimbursed by my insurance. She sent me the information via email very quickly.
It had a different VIN # than my vehicle. I called back and they quickly cleared that up and sent me a corrected receipt.

I tried to resolve the issue at the time it occurred. There's nothing I can do about it except warn everyone else.
Be careful about how you get lockouts serviced. Call around locally before going through insurance or Agero
Photo is the screenshot of what it looks like when requesting roadside and making a payment. There is no mention of agero. When going through the process to get the screenshots, even a text message about making the payment is from progressive.
I hadn't locked myself out in several years, so it didn't seem necessary. It gave me the option to pay the full price of a lockout with a special discount for being a Progressive customer. It didn't tell me anything else except for the price. I paid the $100.83.
I found out later that most of that fee went to a third party, Agero, and not the tow company. It was even worse that I paid almost double what the cheapest local company would have charged. Even if all the local tows charged $100, I would rather pay them directly rather than give some of the money for a phone call I could have made myself. The issue is that nowhere on the invoice or receipt did it tell me who I was paying and the prompt said I was paying for a lockout service.
It was only at the bottom of receipt that payment will appear on bank statement as agero. I got bounced around between Progressive and Agero until a lady at Agero claimed that they don't have to provide that information because when you go to the store, they don't tell you where the profits go. I tried to explain that at least if I go to the store to buy some cereal and milk, that will reflect on the receipt. It's not just going to say groceries.
She eventually filed a complaint for me and I received a follow-up call. That went as expected. She rehashed the same defense for their behavior until I shut her down.
Then it was the final 'well, the order is completed.' I got misled into giving Agero money for doing nothing and there is no way around it. If you find yourself in a similar situation, just take the time to shop around.

My car was towed from my driveway due to a flat tire, so I called my insurance company for roadside assistance. The towing driver scratched my rear wheel hubs, but I only noticed after he had left.
When I reported the damage to the company, their customer service was unprofessional and made it difficult for me to submit all the required proofs without clearly communicating what was missing through emails.
After speaking with a representative and submitting additional evidence, I thought I had finally resolved the chaotic situation. However, the representative told me I needed to submit more photos as proof. Before a decision was made, the driver who towed my car called my personal phone number, claiming he didnt scratch my car and accused me of trying to steal his money. He threatened to take me to court, which I found both audacious and harassing.
This could be considered illegal and verbal harassment.
To make matters worse, the company ultimately denied my claim, allowing the driver to get away with the damage. Now, I have to spend $610 to fix my wheels and another $300 to rent a car due to this mistake. The company is essentially protecting their employees misconduct, knowing I wouldn't hire a lawyer, which would cost me another $3000 to recover $600.
The towing driver looked intimidating, and as a woman, I fear continuing to pursue my money.
This company is clearly unethical, with bad people protecting each other. Shame on this company and everyone who works there.

We call Progressive to have our van towed, they despatched a flatbed truck operated by Agero. Tow truck driver did not secure our van properly, resulting in $5000+ damage to A/C lines, fender, condenser, radiator.
Agero has denied our claim based on very bogus excuses, including that there was pre-existing damage (I don't know how they determined that) we did not have good photos and that the van was towing another vehicle (it was not). They are a bunch of scammers, if I could give them a zero star I would.
